The Research Department is split between a Debt and Equity Sector, each of which is run by a Sector Head who oversees the work of 2-3 analysts. Analysts help formulate the fund's perspectives on macro real estate trends, which the investment department then utilizes to support their evaluation of potential investments. At weekly Fund meetings, analysts prepare presentations on recent macroeconomic trends and market developments, as well as occasionally giving educational presentations that serve as a precursor to upcoming training session material. Research analysts are expected to be good writers, with each Sector publishing at least one research report per semester on real estate developments pertinent to the fund's investment strategy. Reports in the past have covered topics such as the effect of E-commerce on Industrial and Retail Commercial Real Estate, and Foreign Direct Investment Trends across the U.S.
